A Woman in a New Land
I moved to New Zealand with my husband — a land of new skies, new faces, new words we had yet to learn. In the heart of this beginning, I carried a secret rhythm: two tiny hearts beating within me, promising life, promising light.
The Story
I moved to New Zealand with my husband
-a land of new skies, new faces, new words we had yet to learn-
In the heart of this beginning, I carried a secret rhythm:
two tiny hearts beating within me, promising life, promising light.
Then the boys arrived,
with cries that became our smiles,
with a presence that filled our home with warmth.
We were weary, sleepless, yet overflowing with love.
Every small giggle was a sunrise,
every moment together, a hope renewed.
Yes, there was loneliness.
Yes, there were challenges.
But holding them, growing with them,
building a life breath by breath,
was more beautiful than words can hold.
Migration did not leave me alone.
It gave me a name deeper than all others:
It made me a mother.
